Founded as the AACE Melbourne Section in 1977 and the Australian Section since the 1980s, we represent cost engineering and total cost management professionals from Perth to Brisbane — taking independent governance in 2018–19 after many years alongside Engineers Australia and ACES.

All eight are administered by AACE International, and several are independently accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards. The Australian Section supports members through study, exam preparation and recertification with local study groups and mentoring.

Australia's premier conference for project controls professionals, and the country's largest annual event dedicated exclusively to the discipline — a bootcamp workshop day followed by two days of seminars, exhibition and awards at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
